If you're looking for a great South Austin hangout, look no further. This place has all the things you didn't know you needed until you walk through the door (or stroll into the yard). From the second you arrive, the vibe here is laid-back, fun, and welcoming. First off, let's talk about the crowd. This is the kind of place where everyone feels at home - a mix of awesome people that makes people-watching an activity in itself. It's got that quintessential South Austin flair--eclectic, warm, and a little funky in the best way possible. Now, on to the food and drinks, because obviously, that's important! The food here is legit. Whether you're digging into a burger, snacking on some apps, or trying one of their rotating specials, it's all really, really good. This isn't one of those places where the food takes a back seat to the vibe--both are equally stellar. And the drinks? Always on point. Whether you're grabbing a cold beer, a craft cocktail, or just something simple, they nail it every time. One of my favorite things about The Little Darlin' is that it's the perfect spot for just about anything. Want to chill outside with your dog and sip a beer? Done. Looking for a spot to catch up with friends or kick back after a long day? This is the place. Need somewhere to take that friend visiting from out of town who wants to "experience South Austin"? You're covered. It's a versatile little haven that never disappoints.

I've been to a lot of places in Austin this year and The Little Darlin' is near the top of the list of my favorites. I've been twice and the food was excellent both times. The vibe is pretty punk rock with great music playing on the speakers inside. All orders are placed at the bar. There's a pool table inside. There is plenty of seating inside, but they have a large outdoor seating area. They rotate a lot of the menu and always have a seafood special (sorry for the blurry picture of the salmon with squid ink pasta). The fried chicken sandwich is delicious. I've added steak to a dish on my first visit and was cooked perfectly medium-rare. Don't let this place fool you. They have a cool dive bar feel, but they know how to cook really good food. I see myself coming here often with friends.

This is such a fantastic spot for brunch (or lunch or dinner)! I love the kitschy bar decor and the rustic and spacious patio, outdoor seating, and stage. Fabulous drinks and really good food. Even when it's super busy, customers are cared for promptly and efficiently.

Fun menu options, good drinks and a huge dog friendly patio! We've come before for a show one weekend and got some Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and a burger and both great. This time we came for brunch and got the honey chicken biscuit and the French bread pudding. The honey chicken biscuit was delicious - well fried and sweet rosemary butter. The French pudding was plated beautifully and the cream and berries were so good with the bread pudding! Only con is the bread pudding could be a little softer but still a good dish. Service was quick considering there were so many parties around us including ours. I got the strawberry chili mango mule and also the pineapple jalapeño margarita, both delicious but my preference is the pineapple jalapeño margarita - truly worth it.

Serious upgrade to the menu since my last visit. They now have Guinness zero, the best na beer I've ever had. Meatless Monday, Jalapeno cornbread in a cast iron skillet, bomb salads. Velvety cheesecake that pairs beautifully with my beer. I was with friends, so only snapped my beer and the cheesecake. The food now matches the awesome space. Cheers!

My buddy and I had lunch here yesterday after throwing the football around, and very much enjoyed it. Their cheeseburger with fries was money!! The shaved Brussels ended up being served like a salad, so just be aware of that. Their honey butter chicken biscuit sandwich was also on point. And the overall energy of the spot is very good. We would come back here again!

Food: 5/5 Little Darlin' brings a FANTASTIC innovation to the crispy chicken sandwich, and they do it well. Pickled veggies are the way to go and the mountain of fries you get with your order makes it well worth the $16 price tag! You'll leave full and feel like you spent your money well. Service: 5/5 While I'm not the biggest fan of counter service, this place is a bar first and foremost. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food comes out quickly right to your table. Environment: 5/5 Peak patio vibes with plenty of indoor seating as well. The parking can get a little tricky but we didn't have a problem finding a spot!

Rating: 10/10 This is my second time at Little Darlins, exactly one year after my first visit, and hands down, one of the best burgers I've ever eaten in my life! This bar was really cool. It's my second time in Austin, and a buddy of mine brought me here, and they didn't let us down. Little Darlins has a huge stage set up outside and plays pretty good music. They also have a pool table, adding to the overall chill vibe. The highlight, without a doubt, is the burger. It's seasoned to perfection and leaves you wanting more. The fries are crispy and go perfectly with the burger. If you're in Austin, make sure to check out Little Darlins for an unforgettable burger experience and a great time.

Funky little place in South Austin. You order inside at the bar, it's very dim and moody inside. You get a table number and find your preferred seating. I sat outside - there are plenty of covered and uncovered seating mostly comprised of picnic benches. I stRted with the philly cheesesteak eggrolls and they were unique. Didn't love them, but didn't hate them - I think the parmesan cheese on the outside was overkill, it gave the eggrolls a weird mouthfeel. The chicken sandwich was good, very solid and filling meal. A lot of beverage items both alcoholic and NA. Very neat vibe, would visit again!
